Latest news about us, our rides and anything relating to brain cancer.

In 2008 I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. It all started with massive headaches that would show up during the night and keeping me awake. After Gloria, my wife, convinced me to talk about it to my doctor, he sent me for a cat scan followed by an MRI.

The tumor was very visible, a grade 1 benign Meningioma, about 3/4 of an inch in size located in the left temporal lobe. I met with the neurologist, Dr. Richard Moulton in November at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. He first suggested that he perform the surgery in December but after he told me what I was going to look like for Christmas I decided to wait until January.

I went in on January 28th, 2009 was back home February 2nd. I was able to go back to work part time in April and full time in July. With all the prayers I had there was no cancer and I have recovered fully since.
